Annexes

The annexes carry the technical detail the articles rely on. Annex I lists the Union harmonisation legislation that makes an AI system high-risk as a product safety component; Annex III lists the eight use-case areas that make a system high-risk in its own right. Others set out the technical documentation, the conformity assessment procedures, the declaration of conformity and the criteria for designating a general-purpose AI model as carrying systemic risk. Annex XIV was added by Regulation (EU) 2026/1744.
