EU AI Act material divides into three kinds, and using the wrong kind is the most common way an assessment goes wrong. The authentic legal text is what binds. Institutional guidance explains how the Commission and the AI Office intend to apply it. Everything else, including this site, is interpretation, useful for orientation and not a substitute for either.
