How the legal text gets here
All 119 articles, 180 recitals and 14 annexes are reproduced from the Official Journal text of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. Every provision page links to its EUR-Lex source, so any passage can be checked against the authentic text in one click, and each carries the date it was last verified. Where a provision has been amended, the amending act is named and dated rather than folded silently into the text.
Where interpretation starts and stops
The legal text is presented verbatim and kept visually separate from anything we add. Below each provision sits a context panel (where it sits in the Act, which provisions its own text cites, which of our guides cover it) all of it derived from the Regulation’s own structure and cross-references rather than written about it. We do not generate summaries of legal provisions, because a machine-written paraphrase of a binding rule is a liability rather than a feature.
Interpretation lives in the guides and the key issues pages, which are signed, dated and sourced so a reader can see whose reading they are getting.
How we handle things that have changed
The Regulation was amended by Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, which moved deadlines, added two prohibitions and rewrote an obligation. Application dates live in a single source of truth, so a date shown on the timeline, in a guide, in the checklist and in the structured data cannot drift apart. Pages that describe a superseded position (the news archive, and the pre-adoption commentary on the key issues pages) say so on the page rather than being quietly corrected or removed.
Who runs it
This resource is managed by Holistic AI, an AI governance platform. It is independent of the European Commission, the AI Office and any other Union institution, and it is not a substitute for legal advice. If you find an error, reporting it is the single most useful thing you can do: corrections take priority over new content.
