Section 2: Requirements for High-Risk AI Systems

Chapter III · Articles 8–15

What this part of the EU AI Act covers

Section 2 states what a high-risk AI system must actually satisfy: a documented risk management system, data governance appropriate to training, validation and testing, technical documentation, automatic record-keeping, instructions for use, effective human oversight, and an appropriate level of accuracy, robustness and cybersecurity.

It binds providers, and each requirement produces a distinct artefact rather than a general assurance: a risk management record, data governance documentation, Annex IV technical documentation, logs, instructions for use, and declared accuracy and robustness levels.
